One pledge of one act of kindness by each of us would be 25 million acts of kindness in Australia.
Pledge your kindness today..
In a world where you can be anything
A message from Ralph…
As many know, this campaign is very personal to me as both of my sons, Thomas and Stuart, died in July. It will never stop breaking my heart that if the world had been kinder my boys would still be here. My grief and loss will always be there as will be my knowledge that the world can be better and Australia can be kinder.
To bring this vision to life Kind July will be bigger than ever this year.
COVID-19, bushfires, drought, floods have challenged us all and we can all do with some kindness in some way. We invite each and every one of you to join us every day in July to do something kind. Kindness is simple, and we will be sharing daily inspirations with you via our social media.
At this point, you may also be wondering how to stay up to date with all these events. Continue reading below to find out!
We look forward to seeing you soon, and, in the meantime, keep sharing kindness.
Kind July Update
Every Thursday in July at 7pm we’ll feature a special online event, Stay Kind Conversations, hosted by one of Australia’s top broadcast interviewers, Jane Hutcheon. Jane created the ABC TV show One Plus One conducting 500 in-depth conversations in nine years with world leaders, celebrities, CEOs, mavericks, freedom-fighters, justice-seekers and lesser-known heroes from Australia. Why not schedule some weekly kindness into your July planners!
Jane will be in-conversation with a group of unique influential Australians. Each additional special guest will be revealed in the coming newsletters as will instructions on how you can submit questions for Jane to ask our guests at the end of each interview.
Our first guest on July 1 will be Grace Tame, 2021 Australian of the Year. As a fifteen year old living with anorexia, she was groomed and abused by her teacher at an independent school in Hobart.
Grace, along with other survivors of the #letherspeak campaign, helped to overturn Tasmania’s gag laws. In 2019 she was finally allowed to tell her story. Since winning AOTY, Grace has been an activist and advocate for survivors of sexual assault.
